Scheduling time off

  • Time off should be requested at least two weeks in advance.
  • We encourage you to accommodate reasonable requests. It supports your contractor's well-being.

Sick days

  • Reasonable sick days come out of your contractor's PTO.
  • Your contractor should tell you as soon as possible if they can't work due to illness.
  • If the frequency of sick days or the communication around them concerns you, reach out to us directly.
06 · Bonus payments
100%

of every bonus goes directly to your contractor.

You can reward your contractor at year-end or any time they've done great work. Bonuses are completely optional, and always deeply appreciated.

Small gestures go a long way. Buying your contractor lunch for the day usually costs under $50.

07 · Performance and feedback

Open communication keeps standards high

Talking openly about performance keeps standards high and lets you catch issues early.

Regular check-ins

  • Daily or weekly updates. Ask your contractor to send work summaries over Slack or email. Early on, we'll check in closely too, to make sure they're up to speed.
  • Feedback sessions. Give constructive feedback and recognize wins regularly.

Addressing issues

  • Act early. If you notice a performance concern, raise it promptly.
  • We're here to help. Our team will work with you to resolve any issue that comes up.

We check in with your contractor every month

Each month we check in with your contractor to confirm things are going well and catch any concerns. Here's what we cover.
